6000A+ and NEXT Hub Screen Lock
The 6000A+ series interactive panels and the NEXT Hub are Google EDLA certified devices. This means that the screen lock you may find on your device asking for a PIN/password/pattern is actually a Google security lock. The screen lock on one of these devices will look similar to this:
Since this is a Google security lock the traditional method of resetting the PIN with a code on the remote control is not available. There are two immediate options if the PIN is lost or forgotten which are outlined below.
If you are a Tech Director or IT Manager for your school district please reach out to our Support team at it@getcleartouch.com so we can discuss other options with you.- If you have the panel enrolled in Command there is now a feature that will allow administrators to unlock an EDLA device. You will need to browse to Devices > Device List and click on the panel in question. Once on the Device Details page click on the "Enter screen control" option and you will be presented with two options: "Don't unlock" and "Unlock and execute." The first option will not unlock the panel and the screen control session will continue like normal. The second option will immediately unlock the panel and then the screen control session will continue like normal. Please see the pictures below for examples of what this looks like.
- If the panel is not enrolled in Command or there is no administrator available to access the Command account the panel can be manually reset to regain access. This option will involved manually reloading the panel's firmware with a USB flash drive.
