Correct Windows Power Settings for Your Clear Touch Interactive Panel

*Please apply any outstanding Windows Updates ahead of time as updates may cause Windows to revert any changes*

            1. Start by clicking the windows icon (Start Menu) on the bottom left of the desktop.

            2. Next, just start typing ‘Power Options’ and click 'Power & Sleep Settings' to open.

            3. Be sure ‘Never’ appears in both drop down menus under 'Screen' and 'Sleep'.

            4. Next, on the right hand side menu, choose 'Additional power settings'

            5. Then, on the left hand side on the menu, select ‘Choose what the power buttons do’.

(You may need to click the option ‘Change settings that are currently unavailable’. This will allow you to change 'Power and sleep settings' and 'Shutdown Settings' below.)

            Shutdown Settings

            • Under 'Shutdown Settings', you will want to make sure that all check boxes are UNCHECKED, please do not check any of the boxes.

This will allow you to be able to press and hold the power button on the front of the panel until a message appears to close and shutdown. Select OK (or wait for the 10 second countdown) and the panel will begin to shut down windows as well as power itself off. The power light will flash, but once it is a steady red, the PC and panel should be powered off.

Note: The above needed to be changed as it is the default setting in Windows that is built for desktop and laptop machines, but not recommended for our panels.
Please be aware that the settings above are for Internal PC modules ONLY.
