Release Notes for the NEXT Hub (Firmware date July 2, 2025)

Here is a detailed list of the changes, improvements, and bugs that have been affected by the firmware release for the NEXT Hub. This firmware has a timestamp of July 2, 2025.

(This firmware launched from our OTA server on July 11, between 23:01-23:59 EST)

Major Developments

We made big strides to allow for more customization of the desktop user interface. In addition, we are introducing easier access to all our resources: software, support, and training, all at your fingertips. The Connect solution introduces Single Sign-On functionality for login and user profile management on our NEXT Hub.

  • Introduce the improved UI with the Connect solution.

  • Pre-install Chorus Widgets.

  • Pre-install the Chorus App.

  • Install an updated Whiteboard app with several bug fixes.

  • Add the ability to erase according to color for the Mark tool.

*Select the color from the color swatches, and only annotations with that color will disappear. The color picker swatch will erase all annotations.


  • Add an ability to launch an app after a set time of inactivity.


Other Cool Improvements

The following items represent the efforts of our Support and Product teams working together to improve the product, adding security and stability throughout.

  • Add a straight line function to the Mark tool and an improvement to the Spotlight utility.

  • Improve the touch keyboard input marker so touch inputs are not permanently visible.

  • Optimize the loading and startup of the side annotation toolbar.

  • Improve the function of audio input/output.

  • Improve the function of pushing apps through Command.

  • Note multi-page bug has been fixed.

  • Many other bug fixes and improvements.

  • Included Google security patches and updates.
