v5.3 (released July 27, 2022; Available for 5000C, 6000K, 7000X, 7000XE, and 6000K+, and 8086MAX)
This version has the following revisions:
  1. The connection code remains visible while Android is disabled.
  2. Chromecast and Airplay are not enabled by default when the version is updated.
v5.4 (released February 20, 2023: Available for 5000C, 7000X, 6000K, 7000XE, 6000K+, 8086MAX, and 7000XT)

This release is primarily a quality update that implements improvements based on user feedback.

First, it implements changes that will reduce the network bandwidth related to the application with the following changes:

  1. Chromecast and Airplay disabled as default in Collage app settings
  2. If Chromecast is enabled by a user it will only "make a call" to promote availability for 10 seconds (instead of 100 seconds)

We are also seeking to improve the following from some user experience (based on the platform of the sender application):
  1. Screen resolution and image decoding while screen sharing
  2. Audio issues when sharing video

In addition, we have enabled the following features. (These features are only available for the 6000K, 7000XE, 6000K+, 8086MAX, and 7000XT)
  1. Remote connection with a camera connected to the panel. Through the connection to Collage, a Mac or Windows device can access a camera and microphone (the device must also update to v5.4)
  2. The clarity of the screen share will auto-adjust based on network resources. This setting can also be manually adjusted.

v5.5 (released April 17, 2023: Available for 5000C, 7000X, 6000K, 7000XE, 6000K+, 8086MAX, and 7000XT)

  • First, the two code options (Normal and Mini) within the Collage code window have returned! If you have used Collage in its various forms over the years you know that it used to have this function. We like that this adds a little extra control for the teacher/presenter and have now added it back.

  • Screenshare utility bar now retracts or expands to get out of the way of on-screen controls. If you were screensharing, and these icons made advancing slides very difficult, we have now made a way to collapse the utility bar so that you can keep teaching!

  • Your web browsing will no longer be impeded by our screen mirroring control window on Windows and Mac. Now this window can be moved so it will not get in the way of Browser tabs.
